We live in times where making a sex tape suddenly is not seen as too morally reprehensible anymore. It was not all that long ago when a sex tape caused outrage, where people seemed to have a sense of shame and were mightily embarrassed if such visuals got out into the public’s hands. But those days seem to be long gone. Celebrities have, as usual, led the way in degrading the moral fiber of our society. More and more celebs over the past fifteen years or so have released a sex tape or two on the internet. Many cry foul, saying someone stole their tape and leaked it online, but many certainly have done it themselves in the hopes of fame and money. And it usually works, so more regular people have caught on. But every sex tape is not the same. There are some unwritten rules that make some better than others. Being natural on camera is a pivotal first step.
When you decide to make a sex tape, you have to put yourself in the position of the viewer. Most people want to feel like a voyeur, like they are just accidentally stumbling upon two people getting laid. If it feels too scripted and rehearsed, a big part of the appeal flies out the window. One wants to see two people acting as natural as they would if no cameras were on. Playful banter, profanity, laughing, extreme intimate moaning and grunting while in the throes of passion: these are all positive things to show on a sex tape. Try not to look at the camera too much. The idea is to act like the camera is not there.
A good sex tape needs to extend that natural feel to the actual fornicating itself. The messier and naughtier, the better. People are often at their most visually vulnerable during sexual acts. Make sure the camera catches close ups of all the twisted body parts and violent thrusting. Your audience will surely then come back for more.
